90 Day Planning
Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity was “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” If your business performance is not all you want it to be, perhaps now is the time for you to do something different and get better results!
An important part of our clients’ coaching programme is a process of ongoing review and planning. Each quarter, we sit down with our clients and review the last quarter’s performance to see what was successful, what didn’t work so well, which goals have been achieved and which have slipped. In the light of this information, the priorities and goals for the coming quarter are clarified and documented.
These short term priorities are aligned with the long term goals and visions for the business that the business owner has worked on early in their coaching programme. Once these short term priorities and goals are clarified, the strategies and actions necessary to achieve the goals can be decided upon, and responsibilities and time scales for delivery can be allocated.
And there we have our 90 day action plan for success. The business owner has overall ownership and accountability for achievement of the plan, but will involve their team to ensure the ownership and accountability is devolved to those who will be responsible for the day to day delivery of the actions that will achieve those goals.
We believe that this process of regular review and forward planning is vitally important, as it gives business owners the focus, clarity and motivation to keep moving the business forwards, as well as a clear plan and milestones for the coming quarter. Each quarter, they can see the progress they have made towards their ultimate goal for their business, and for themselves.
